Interior design stores

Artilleriet
Gothenburg’s coolcrowd likes to hang out in the blocks surrounding Artilleriet, an interiordesign store with a highly personal blend of new and vintage furniture and lighting from around the world, including Artilleriet’s own line of furniture and home accessories. The square outside the store is a popular lunch spot thanks to its food trucks and the Da Matteo café, which according to many locals, serves Gothenburg’s best coffee.

The Kitchen
Owned by the same people as Artilleriet and located next door, this store is a tribute to food and cooking, designed like a kitchen itself. You’ll find all the little things that make a kitchen cozy, functional and original, from a toast stand (those practical little things found in British hotels) to brioche and madeleine moulds, beautiful wooden brushes by Iris Hantverk, hand-blown glasses by Astier de Villatte and cabbage leaf-plates by Bordallo Pinheiro.

Musa
This little fashion and lifestyle boutique sells a carefully selected range of objects by Swedish and international designers. Fashion from Rodebjer, Vivienne Westwood and Baum und Pferdgarten, among others, shares space with other lovely items. We particularly like the ceramic vases by local designer Anna Elzer Oscarson, made by porcelain factory Porslins-fabriken in nearby Lidköping. There’s also photo art for sale here.
